RE: Requirements for Constitutional Amendments, Policy Resolutions, & Nomination and Election of Officers
The 65th NSJFT Convention will be held Friday, April 4 thru Saturday April 5, 2008 at the Seaview Marriott Resort, Absecon, NJ. The relevant articles from the NJSFT Constitution were mailed on or about January 23, 2008 to local presidents for review. Please be aware of the following deadlines.
Constitutional Amendments must be submitted to the State Federation no later than Monday, February 25, 2008 in order that all locals can be notified in writing of all proposed amendments at least thirty days before the convention.
Resolutions shall bear the signature of at least two elected officers of the local introducing the resolution. The resolution shall contain the title and be submitted, in typewritten form, in quadruplicate no later than Monday, February 25, 2008.
Nomination and Election of Officers: An Official Nomination Petition was enclosed in the mail packages sent out in late January 2008. This form must be filed with the Election Committee on/or before Monday, February 18, 2008. Please contact the NJSFT office if you need an additional or replacement copy.
Please understand that all Executive Committee positions are open for election (e.g. *President, Vice Presidents, etc.).
All of the above should be mailed to the State Federation office. Please call if you have any questions or need additional or replacement forms.
*I am not seeking re-election.
